De Kaapverdiaans international was vorig seizoen verre weg één van de beste spelers in de CPL. (Canadese Premier League) Dos Santos was 1 van de eerste Nederlanders die twee jaar geleden een transfer maakte naar deze competitie en met zijn opvallende prestaties de weg geopend heeft voor meer Nederlandse spelers naar deze competitie.

De veelzijdige aanvaller streek destijds neer bij Pacfic FC waarmee hij in zijn eerste seizoen onder leiding van coach Pamadou Kah historie schreef door landskampioen te worden en een assist te geven op de winnende goal in de finale.

Het afgelopen seizoen leidde hij de club ook tot de finales en was hij ook belangrijk in de CONCACAF Championsleague met goals en assists.

Nu komt hij binnen als een grote versterking voor de club uit de hoofdstad van Canada dat onderdeel uitmaakt van de Atletico groep. Dus een hele mooie transfer voor een hele mooie speler bij een hele mooie club.

Ben blij om hier te zijn en hoop de club te helpen aan titels. Zo had ik wel een aantal opties waarbij ik iets dichter bij huis kon spelen of ook weer ver van huis voor een mooi salaris. Maar ben ook nog steeds heel ambitieus. Bij Ottowa klopte het hele plaatje.

The Cape Verdean international was by far one of the best players in the CPL (Canadian Premier League) last season and leaves the Island for the Capital. L’international capverdien était de loin l’un des meilleurs joueurs de la CPL (Première ligue canadienne) la saison dernière et quitte l’île pour la capitale. Dos Santos a été l’un des premiers joueurs néerlandais à effectuer un transfert dans cette ligue il y a deux ans et avec ses performances remarquables, il a ouvert la voie à davantage de joueurs néerlandais dans la ligue.

A l’époque, l’attaquant polyvalent s’est installé au Pacfic FC, avec qui il a écrit l’histoire dès sa première saison sous la direction de l’entraîneur Pamadou Kah en devenant champion national et en assistant au but vainqueur en finale.

La saison dernière, il a également mené le club à la finale et a également joué un rôle important dans la Ligue des champions de la CONCACAF avec des buts et des passes décisives.

Maintenant, il vient en renfort pour le club de la capitale du Canada qui fait partie du groupe Atletico.
Donc un très beau transfert pour un très beau joueur dans un très beau club.
